René has worked for Aon since 2005. In his current role, he is a Senior Consultant for Aon’s Captive & Insurance Management in the Netherlands.
Rene’s duties include:
- Management of clients’ captive insurance companies or small commercial insurance companies in a compliant way
- Financial management and reporting, which includes accounting, preparing management and statutory reporting, Solvency II reporting (QRTs, SFCR and RSR), periodic reports and reports on demand
- Managing Protected Cell Companies (White Rock Insurance (Netherlands) PCC Ltd.)
- Managing and maintaining the financial/technical insurance software programme implemented worldwide, in cooperation with the international support unit
- Advising clients and giving presentations to clients
- Maintaining external contacts with clients and consult with their external specialists among others external auditors and tax advisors
- Providing reports for clients to the Insurance authority (De Nederlandsche Bank)
- Maintaining internal contacts with account management, claims department, actuarial practice, risk finance department and internal audit
- Providing advice and setting up projects on behalf of establishing captives, along with the internal risk finance consultants and insurance technical colleagues
