Yohann is a Senior Vice President of Aon Cayman whose primary responsibility is leading Aon Cayman’s relationship with United Insurance Company; a Cayman based reinsurance company that provides reinsurance solutions worldwide. Yohann is further responsible for the delivery of insurance management services to a portfolio of offshore captive clients.
The Aon office provides comprehensive captive management services to the offshore industry. These services include assistance with feasibility studies, incorporation procedures and the ongoing management of all aspects of captive operations.
Yohann began his career with Deloitte in Durban, South Africa in 2004 where he worked with a portfolio of domestic and multinational clients. During his four years with Deloitte, Yohann also completed secondments in the US, Canada and Australia. Yohann relocated to the Cayman Islands in July 2008, where he joined HSBC (Bank) Cayman Ltd in their insurance management division. This division of HSBC was subsequently acquired by Artex Risk Solutions (Cayman) Limited. Within his role, Yohann was responsible for managing and maintaining a close professional relationship with a large portfolio of high profile clients and providing consultancy advice to each client from an insurance management and other broader perspectives. Yohann’s clients included single parent captives, group captives, segregated portfolio companies, insurance-linked securities and special purpose vehicles. Yohann joined Aon Cayman from Artex in November 2018.
Yohann is a Member of the South African Institute of Charted Accountants and has a Bachelor of Accounting Science – B.Compt. Hons. degree from the University of South Africa.
