Introducing Aon’s Energy Transition Group – a progressive partnership between power & energy experts focused on supporting clients as they position themselves for the Energy Transition.
Aon’s energy and power specialists complement Aon as one of the leading positions in offshore wind, the wider renewables sector, power and energy.
The partnership creates an integrated team for the delivery of sustainable insurance capacity and innovative risk solutions for offshore wind, renewables and decarbonisation technologies: the expanding onshore and offshore wind and solar sectors; emerging sectors such as carbon capture and storage; and hydrogen. Our focus is on the full value chain, including the influence of environmental, social and governance (ESG), risk financing, merger and acquisition activity and talent.
The group tracks industry trends arising from the Energy Transition and monitors company strategies as they shift to carbon net zero. Although companies are at different stages in their development, there is shared focus on decarbonisation across the industries, requiring an elevated response from the insurance sector to accelerate firms’ evolution. Enabling firms to continue on this trajectory is a core focus of Aon’s Energy Transition Group.
Our team promotes and cultivates Aon’s broader global capabilities and risk solutions to add distinctive value to projects and also facilitate engagement with Aon’s industry and sector experts.
The Energy Transition Group is led by Euan Nicolson - our Global Energy Chief Commercial Officer, Mark Potter – our Global Broking Centre Power Chief Commercial Officer, Bruce Grant - our Global Broking Centre Offshore Wind Leader and Chris Graham - our Global Energy Offshore Construction Leader.
The group will work closely with Guido Benz - Swiss Re’s former head of Global Construction and Engineering - in his role as Global Renewables Leader, a new position reflecting the importance that we attach to this sector.
Aon continues to innovate and our commitments to our clients during the Energy Transition remain at the core of our client promise.
