Kai-Frank Buechter is Co-Chief Executive Officer of Aon EMEA, responsible for driving the firm's strategy and performance across Continental Europe and North Africa. Building on his strong track record in the D-A-CH region, Kai is known for a client-centric and growth-driven leadership approach, focused on helping clients navigate increasing volatility and complexity. He leads the regional execution of Aon's 3x3 Plan to accelerate the Aon United strategy and deliver integrated, high-impact Risk Capital and Human Capital solutions.

As a member of Aon's global Executive Committee, Kai is part of the team responsible for Aon's global strategy and its successful execution within the EMEA region. His leadership is centered on bringing the best of Aon together – ensuring that the firm’s full capabilities are seamlessly connected to address clients’ most complex risk and people challenges. Guided by Aon's core values, Kai focuses on delivering outstanding client outcomes while fostering a high-performing, collaborative environment across the region.

Kai brings more than 26 years of experience with Aon, having held a wide range of leadership roles across consulting, sales and general management. He began his career as a consulting engineer, providing him with a strong technical foundation and deep understanding of clients’ core risk challenges, before moving into commercial and executive leadership roles. Most recently, he served as Chief Executive Officer of Aon D-A-CH, with responsibility across Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
