Pedro Penalva

Pedro Penalva serves as CEO of Latin America for Aon and a member of Aon’s Global Executive Committee, a position he has held since July 1, 2026. In this role, he is responsible for leading the region's strategic management and driving growth by delivering Aon's Risk Capital and Human Capital capabilities across client segments. Previously, Pedro served as Head of Aon’s Enterprise Client Group in EMEA from 2023 until assuming his current position, and also served as a member of the EMEA Executive Committee.

With more than 15 years at Aon, he has held a series of increasingly senior leadership roles, joining the firm in 2010 as CEO of Portugal. Since 2015, he has also held EMEA-wide responsibilities, including leadership roles within the Aon Global Client Network and as Chief Commercial Officer for the Multinational Segment, on top of his country’s CEO role. He later served as CEO for Spain, Portugal, Africa and Israel. Prior to joining Aon, Pedro was CEO of AIG Portugal and a member of AIG’s European Executive Committee.

Beyond his executive career, Pedro has served as Vice President of AmCham Portugal and sits on the boards of several NGOs in Portugal. He holds an MSc in Engineering from Instituto Superior Técnico in Lisbon, an Executive Leadership Program from Chicago Booth, an Advanced Management Program (AMP) qualification from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, and a postgraduate qualification in Management from AESE/IESE Business School.
