Navigating the Unpredictable: Aon’s Suite of Actionable Analytics

Understanding and mitigating emerging risks amid geopolitical turbulence and the Megatrends in trade, technology, weather, and workforce.

It has never been more important for business leaders to identify, understand, manage and mitigate the risks impacting their organizations.

The world in 2025 is proving harder to predict and risk volatility is increasing. We see this across the four Megatrends impacting our clients — Trade, Technology, Weather and Workforce — amid the current geopolitical turbulence. A lot of the risks that businesses have to tackle at the moment weren’t around three or four years ago — in fact, some of these emerging risks weren’t even impacting businesses at the start of this year.

At the same time, the protection gap — the difference between total losses incurred by businesses and communities and the amount covered by insurance — is getting wider and wider.

Therefore it’s essential for business leaders to understand their total cost of risk and any volatility to their balance sheet as they make crucial decisions about how and where to deploy capital.

At Aon, we have invested significantly in developing and launching a range of Risk Analyzers to help our clients in making better-informed, important decisions to support their business strategies. Our analyzers provide insight and guidance across a number of commercial risk classes of insurance, such as property, cyber, D&O and motor — as well as across health and wealth.

Aon’s suite of Risk Capital and Human Capital Analyzers offer a perspective on how the Megatrends will impact businesses, not just in the UK but globally as well. Knowing how much risk to retain, how much to transfer and the different risk transfer options is essential. A better understanding across Risk Capital and Human Capital can contribute to more effective business decision-making, which is why we are focused on using data and analytics to deliver insight and provide confidence for our clients.
