William Shortt, Managing Director, Head of North America – Cyber & Digital Advisory, M&A and Transaction Solutions, Aon

William leads technology and cybersecurity consulting assignments in North America for private equity firms, investors and acquisitive corporations. He has 16 years’ experience advising clients on transactions and portfolio program management, with a focus on cybersecurity, digital strategy, threat intelligence and data protection. He is a member of the International Bar Association, and Chatham House, the Royal Institute of International Affairs. William is a graduate of the University of Edinburgh and completed the English Bar Exams in London.

A frequent writer and speaker, he delivers actionable insights to business and technology leaders addressing emerging AI and cybersecurity challenges.

Michael Kingston, Managing Director, Chief Information Officer for The Americas within the Global Investment Resources team, The Carlyle Group

Prior to joining Carlyle, Michael held various technology executive roles across a number of global brands including L'Oreal, Neiman Marcus, Coach, Ann Inc and LVMH. During his career, he has led large enterprise digital transformations with an emphasis on data driven automation built on agile technology platforms. He began his career as a software developer with Castrol North America. Michael holds a BA in Political Science from William Paterson University and resides in Washington, D.C.

Puroo leads the global Portfolio Cybersecurity program as part of the Portfolio Value Creation team and works in close partnership with global investment teams, boards and portfolio company executive teams across a portfolio of ~100 assets across infrastructure, sustainable energy, real estate and direct private equity. Puroo is a seasoned technology executive with extensive experience in strategic technology roadmaps, cybersecurity, cloud transformation, and IT risk, having held senior roles at Thomson Reuters and TD Bank overseeing global cybersecurity, infrastructure technology, and modernization programs. Puroo sits on the Advisory Board for PhilanthPro, the Advisory Board for siberX and is on the Governing Body for Evanta Toronto CISO.

Marcela Robledo is a partner based in Cleary Gottlieb’s Bay Area office.
