Aon’s 2025 Global Pay Transparency Study reflects feedback from more than 1,400 HR and rewards professionals to understand how they are approaching and progressing towards achieving pay transparency and pay equity.

With significant global traction being seen in the areas of pay equity and transparency, Aon has conducted this study to assess the readiness of global organizations in addressing local and regional pay transparency legislations.

The study covers topics such as:
  • Identifying the critical factors driving a stronger focus on pay transparency and equity issues;
  • Developing an effective communication strategy around pay equity and transparency;
  • Understanding how organizations are communicating salary ranges when recruiting for open positions; and
  • Recognizing the importance of a robust and analytical job evaluation methodology.

Key findings from the study show:

  1. 29% of organizations report that their level of pay transparency readiness has not improved in the last 12 months.
  2. Only 44% of organizations have a robust job evaluation process in place and use it consistently. 
  3. 69% of organizations publish salary bands while recruiting.
