Impact Report 2025
Aon’s community impact strategy is rooted in our belief that strong communities and engaged colleagues create shared value. Guided by our firmwide strategy and local connections, our social impact efforts are focused on:
Aon is committed to making a positive impact in the communities where we live and work around the world. We believe in the power of volunteerism and philanthropic investment to make our regions stronger, more prosperous and better connected.
Our charitable work is driven by our firmwide strategy and our colleagues’ local connections and commitment to amplifying our impact. In 2025, Aon and NFP’s combined charitable contributions totaled more than $17 million across more than 2,500 individual charities in the following prioritized categories:
Last year, we empowered early careers colleagues to lead high-impact projects, continued to help our partners mobilize quickly in the event of disasters and amplified colleague giving and volunteerism around the world.
Carolyn Barry Frost, president and executive director of the Aon Foundation said: “Through the Aon Foundation and our global corporate giving initiatives, we empower our colleagues to lead change in the communities where we live and work. By leveraging our time, talent and treasure, we are building stronger, more resilient communities, mobilizing when disasters strike and advancing wellbeing for our people and our neighbors. Each initiative we undertake is a testament to our commitment to service and to creating positive, lasting impacts.”
Impact Report 2025
Introduced in 2025, Aon’s Launch Challenge invites early-career colleagues to step forward as changemakers. By designing and leading volunteer projects, participants bring creativity and purpose together — making a lasting difference in the communities where we live and work.
Through this global challenge:
Winning projects reflected the creativity and passion of our Launch colleagues. Examples include:
Across all Launch Challenge projects, colleagues deepened local relationships, sharpened leadership skills and proved how early-career talent can significantly advance Aon’s philanthropic and Corporate Sustainability priorities. This program sets the stage for even greater colleague-led innovation in the years ahead.
Aon colleagues around the world united to make a tangible difference through this year’s Aon Gives Back initiative, demonstrating that generosity is most powerful when it is shared. Nearly 100 Colleague Impact Stories were submitted from every region, showcasing how our people give back through board service, volunteering, charitable donations and support for causes that matter most to them.
This impact came to life in powerful ways, including stories like:
At the same time, hundreds of colleagues deepened a culture of appreciation through the 21‑day Giving and Gratitude Challenge on Thrive, our wellbeing platform. During this challenge, colleagues completed thousands of micro‑actions, such as asking others how they give back, to nightly gratitude journaling and to offering a sincere “thank you” to someone each day.
Aon’s Global Pro Bono program offers opportunities throughout the year for Aon colleagues across the organization to volunteer in support of organizations and causes that are important to them and their communities.
In Hamburg, Germany, four Aon colleagues from our legal and claims teams each devote at least half a day a month offering free legal advice to people from lower-income backgrounds and communities.
Over the past two years, and working in partnership with local non-profit organization Guter Rat vor Ort (“Good Advice On Site”), Aon colleagues Tatjana Christians, Moritz Boenkendorf, Christian Eley, Birte Schabow and Malte Neuhaus, have helped vulnerable members of the community in central Hamburg with a range of issues including access to welfare, immigration law and housing.
In one case, an elderly homeless woman was living in a single room in rundown and unsafe hotel and failing to have her situation heard by the local authorities. Aon colleague Malte Neuhaus worked with the woman to write to the housing authorities, detailing the woman’s circumstances and outlining the local government’s responsibility to find good quality accommodation for the more vulnerable members of the community. Thanks to Neuhaus’ help, the local authority found a better place for the woman to live.
